Feedback with the rough edges left in

We ask alumni to name the module that mattered and the part that still needs work. Glowing blurbs alone do not help the next cohort.

★★★★☆

The KYC refresh sampling exercise in Wallet Ledger Audit Studio finally gave our second line a shared definition of “complete.” I still think the homework load peaks too sharply mid-cohort, but the marked memo was worth the late nights.

“Settlement cutoff lab — that is the one I quote in standups.”

★★★★★ · Course platform review

Instructor comments on our exception taxonomy were blunt. We retired three vague labels after week five. Would enroll a product ops teammate next round.

As a client in consumer remittance, I needed language that survived legal review. The finding-writing clinic delivered that. The live data lab assumed more SQL comfort than our group had; we patched that with office hours.

“Desk Seat was enough for me to brief our board risk committee without borrowing slides from a consultancy.”

Case note: prepaid wallet scale-up

A Korea-based prepaid program joined Assurance Circle ahead of a third-party review. Their ledger team could explain funding, but settlement exceptions lived in three chat threads.

Over six weeks we rebuilt their population definition, introduced a daily cut-off reconciliation worksheet from the Studio materials, and coached the compliance lead through two dry-run findings. The external reviewers still raised one observation on dormant balance monitoring—students had flagged it themselves during the capstone—so the surprise was contained.

Case note: marketplace wallet nesting

A regional marketplace running nested wallets sent two product managers and one compliance analyst. They struggled most with distinguishing merchant float from consumer balances in samples.

After the nested-wallet module and a private rail walkthrough, they produced a workpaper that mapped each sample line to a single balance owner. Mild reservation from their side: evening labs conflicted with release freezes, so two sessions were recorded. They still completed the capstone on time.
